Children

At Goshen we love children, and we're teaming up with parents to nurture the spiritual development of each child who comes thru our doors!  We seek to build an atmosphere of contagious joy and delight in the Lord while teaching the eternal truths of God. Please join us!

Please visit our blog page for weekly updates and Sunday School cirriculum from our Children's Ministry Director, Lori Herson.

Sunday Morning For Kids

Sunday School for all ages, 10:00 -10:45 a.m. • Worship Service, 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Come join us! Childcare is available (Nursery, Children's Church, and Kids Time Celebration).

Kids Check-In

We're glad to have your children with us on Sunday morning at Goshen!  Please use this link to preregister your children and then visit a kiosk on Sunday morning to print out name labels.

Need to update your information?  Please use this link.

Here are a few check-in FAQ:

What if my child brings a friend to church?

Use the kiosk outside the nursery to add the friend to your own household if the friend does not come with another adult.

What if my child only attends Children’s Church or KTC?

If your child/ren plan to participate in ANY children’s Sunday programming, please first proceed to a kiosk and print name tags.

Who can pick up my child?

Anyone in fifth grade and older who has either the corresponding tag with matching identification number or a screen shot of the tag will be permitted to pick up your child/ren. Please note children in third grade and older do not need to be picked up from class – they will dismiss on their own.

Nursery

We offer a fully staffed nursery during our Sunday School hour at 10:00 a.m., and also during the 11:00 a.m. worship service.  Infants through toddlers receive special care at Goshen.  We know that you cannot worship freely unless you're confident that your child is receiving excellent care.  We have a paging system in place to contact you in the Worship Center or adult classes if you are needed by your child.

Sunday School 9:30 a.m.

The children gather for their own corporate worship time during the Sunday School hour as well as spending time in age specific classrooms with dedicated teachers and leaders. Classes are offered for children from two years of age through fifth grade.  Our SS curriculum uses Lifeway's, The Gospel Project. TGP is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus. Each week, these stories come to life through our dedicated and caring teachers using video, music and fun activities.

Room locations are posted at all check-in stations.

Children’s Church & Kid’s Time Celebration--during the worship service

Children’s Church allows children ages 2-4 to actively explore Bible truths in ways that engage the whole child through songs, Bible stories and crafts.  Children’s Church takes place during the worship service each Sunday, in room 108/110.

Kid’s Time Celebration allows children in grades K-4 the opportunity to worship with their families before being dismissed to their class prior to the sermon.  KTC meets weekly, in room 010/012, and uses Phil Vischer's "What's In The Bible?" curriculum.

Protecting our Children

Safety is an extremely high priority at Goshen.   The Child Protection Process ensures the safety and well-being of children and youth by evaluating volunteers and providing clear instructions regarding proper conduct with children.   All adults wishing to work with children in any capacity or ministry must complete the Child Protection Process which includes having updated background checks on file.  All adults involved with children have met specific requirements to serve in the Children's Ministry.

If you have any questions about our Children's Ministry, please email our Director of Family and Children's Ministry, Lori Herson.
