Peter has served as Senior Pastor since 2006, and he recently announced that he is planning to retire in 2027 (see info here).  Peter and his wife Cheryl moved from Chicago to West Chester with their family and have loved living on the east coast and exploring the thousands of things it has to offer.  On his day off, Peter can be spotted roaming around Longwood Gardens, downtown Philly, or just in the borough with camera in hand, looking for that unique photo op.  Peter has a love for teaching and enjoyed sharing God’s Word with students at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Wheaton College in Illinois.  But leading the Goshen family into the rich truths of Scripture through Sunday morning teaching and smaller discipleship groups is his great joy.  Peter has a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Trinity College in Bristol, UK, and he’s a graduate of Bethel College and Seminary in Minnesota.  He and Cheryl have been married for 41 years and have three grown children and three grandchildren.
