There's no better time than the beginning of a new year to affirm (or reaffirm) your commitment to read God's Word on a daily basis.
Maybe you already have a good pattern of studying Scripture and paying attntion to what God has to say in the Old Testament and the New Testament. If so, that's great--carry on.
Or maybe you need to make a lifestyle change and begin a new, life-giving discipline of reading and reflecting on what the Maker and Master of All Things has to say. If so, consider some of the Bible reading plans that are available. Links to several options are given below.
Note that some are quite fast-paced, others slower. Choose one and give it a try. Many people find that if they do a task daily for a month it becomes a stable habit. So be especially diligent for the first several weeks and you'll find that it gets more and more natural to be in Scripture seeking the Lord each day.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).
More to be desired are they [i.e., God’s words] than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb (Psalm 19:10).
(By the way, if you're curious about the claims of Jesus and have yet to step into the story of God's amazing grace, take some time and read through "Two Ways to Live."Â Or take a look at this brief summary of "The Good News."Â Or check out this video, "What Is Christianity?")
