"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). 

The term John uses in 1:14 for "dwelt" is picturesque--it means to "tabernacle" or "pitch one's tent."  Just think, the divine (1:1) Word of God (i.e., God the Son) entered into human life, came into our world, and made his home with us, among us, for our eternal good!
