FALL FOCUS ON MISSIONS - NOVEMBER 1 & 8, 2026

Goshen is a mission-minded church all year round.  But every fall we put a special focus on God’s calling to proclaim Christ to the nations.  This year our theme is:  "Building for Global Impact."  Bricks-and-mortar buildings can be tremendously useful for ministry (see below about our offering).  But we are also eager, by God’s Spirit, to see believers built up in faith and those who do not yet know Jesus put their trust in him!

Sunday, November 1:  

• Guest Preacher, Dr. Rick James, National Director of Publishing with Ratio Christi. Rick will be preaching in the 8:30 & 11:00 a.m. worship services:  “The Evidence for the Resurrection” (Luke 24:1-12).

Sunday, November 8:  

• Guest Preacher, Steve, who is serving the Lord among the unreached.  Steve will speak at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on “Ministry That Is Not In Vain” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).  He will also lead a combined adult Sunday School session at 10:00 a.m. and share “God Stories from North Africa and the Middle East” (Fellowship Hall).
• Youth Sunday School: James Russell from Urban Promise in Wilmington, DE, will share with and challenge Middle School and High School students:  “Be a Witness” (10:00 a.m., Youth Room).
• Children's Sunday School (K-5):  Terri Enright from ESORM (Evangelical Soul Rescue Mission) in Liberia will speak to the children about “Christian Education in Liberia” (10:00 a.m., Sanctuary).

Special Missions Offering:

• Our over-and-above project this year is to assist our mission partners with ESORM.  ESORM operates a Christian School in Liberia in a region where other education options are scarce.  They are eager to expand their buildings to accommodate more grades and students.  Their aim, with help through our offering, is to build a second-floor addition to the current facility.  This will add six classrooms for grades 7-12, plus two offices.
• Our goal is to raise $6,000.  To donate, designate gifts for “Special Missions Offering” (checks payable to Goshen Baptist Church) by Sunday, November 29.  Thanks!

"Witness to the World" Worship Night:

• Sunday, November 15, 6:00 p.m.  Join us to sing praise to the Lord of the Nations, and to hear testimonies from his ambassadors around the world!
