Bring your appetite and join our extended Goshen family for a Chili & Soup Cook-Off, where local cooks will compete for bragging rights and prizes, followed by an exciting Trivia Night featuring six rounds of questions, pictures, music, and more from across the years.
Whether you're entering your favorite chili recipe, joining a trivia team, or simply coming to enjoy the evening and support our Goshen 200 fund, there's something for everyone!

All proceeds will support the Goshen 200 Celebration and Gift, helping us celebrate 200 years of God's faithfulness and invest in the future of Goshen Baptist Church.

What is a Chili Cook-off and Trivia Night Fundraiser?
Organized by our Goshen 200 Chili Cook-off Committee with celebration as the primary goal, our Chili Cook-off and Trivia Night Fundraiser is intended to be a fun, entertaining evening of food and fellowship to launch our year-long bicentennial celebration with the Goshen extended family while also serving as a fundraiser to support the Goshen 200 celebration and gift.
What is a Chili Cook-off?
A chili cook-off is a cooking competition where contestants bring their best homemade chili or soup to be judged by an impartial panel of judges and enjoyed by all attendees!
How do I sign up to bring chili or soup?
A sign-up sheet will be made available in the church lobby on Nov. 1. Once you sign up, you will receive an email with instructions for submitting your chili or soup for competition on that day.

What is a Trivia Night?
A Trivia Night is a social game where teams answer general knowledge or themed questions to win points and prizes. Twenty-four tables of 8 participants will compete as table teams through 6 rounds of 10 questions. In the event of multiple teams winning a round, each round will include a tie-breaker question to secure the overall winner of the round. After 6 rounds, one table will be crowned the Trivia Night Winner.
What types of questions are included?
The event is video trivia - which can include video clips, pictures, audio clips, and more. Each round is structured on a fun topic through the span of many years.
What is the timeline for this event?
Table leaders and all who prepared chilis and soups will arrive to set up at 4:30. Family Life Center doors open at 5:00 pm for all attendees. The check-in team will be in the lobby and will direct you to your assigned table. Dinner is at 5:00. Trivia will start promptly at 6:00 and end around 8:00.
How do I register?
Registration will be open on Sunday, November 1 and there will be two options to register:
One person signs up as a table host and purchases a table for their team of 8 people. With only 24 tables available; these will go quickly! The table fee is $100.
Register for individual tickets and be placed on a team. A single ticket is $12.
