Our Fall Focus on Missions will take place over two Sundays, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6.
The theme this year is "God so loved the world"--the beautiful truth from John 3:16. Our prayer is that the Lord will help us all more and more to share his heart for those who are lost and have not yet experienced the saving compassion of Jesus Christ! Plan to join us. And pray that God will move in all of our hearts; pray also that the Lord will raise up among us more mission workers to send into his harvest!
- Oct. 30, 8:30 & 11:00 a.m.: Pastor Josh Crans from Providence Church Coatesville will be preaching on "The Call and Cost of Compassion" (Matthew 9:35-38).
- Nov. 6, 8:30 & 11:00 a.m.: Dr. Michael Oh, Global Executive Director of the Lausanne Movement, will be preaching on "From Every Land to Every Land: The Lord's Purpose & Provision in the Lord's Prayer" (Matthew 6:9-13).
- On Nov. 6 Dr. Oh will also lead a combined adult Sunday School class at 10:00 a.m. on "Global Mission Trends."
Our Special Missions Offering this year will allow us to partner with Providence Church Coatesville and their ministry to the homeless. Your contributions will help families in crisis to make ends meet, for example, by providing groceries, bus fare, temporary housing, and other essentials--good, practical ways to love our neighbors. Our Missions Team has set a goal of $4,000 for this project. To participate, please designate a gift for "Special Missions Offering" (checks payable to Goshen Baptist Church) and put it in the offering between Oct. 30 and Nov. 27. Thank you in advance for your over-and-above gifts.

Even though we see sin and corruption and misery of all kinds in our world today, the open arms of our loving God are extended toward the lost. His heart of compassion for a world in need is very great. Join us in praying that God’s love for the lost and his zeal to spread the gospel to all the people groups on earth would be our longing as well!
“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
(2 Peter 3:9)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
(John 3:16)
